It is incredibly important to add that unripe tomatoes and tomato plants are unsafe for dogs. Unripe tomatoes contain solanin and tomatin whereas plants can give neurological conditions.

In general, tomatoes shouldn't be a "base" in any kibble or homemade recipe. Even if they contain some important vitamins and minerals their contribution is very small.
